THE STORY
Additional working capital in a volatile steel market
Vlassenroot Group reached out to Ernest Partners’ specialists to optimize and extend their use of working capital in the highly volatile price setting and supply of high strength steel.
After having reviewed and discussed several options to finance the inventory and receivables of Vlassenroot Group, finally the choice was made to develop an extended working capital financing with its main supplier.
The final financing structure was enabled by Vlassenroot’s house banks and made use of Standby Letters of Credit. In the end, this resulted in an extension of €6 million additional working capital facilities for the company. On top of this, the new structure enabled Vlassenroot to negotiate better payment terms with its main supplier.
